Happy New Year everyone! I can't believe another year has flown by and we're about to start another one. Looks like this year might be as busy as last for me.
» I have a new series in the works, and the first two books on the go. Watch out for more news about them in late February. I'm very active on Facebook so be sure to friend me there for almost daily updates. :)
» I will be attending the RT Booklovers Convention in Kansas City. May 1-5, 2013. Be sure to come by and say Hi. I'll be at the Siren Table most of the time but during the book expo I'll be at my own table. ;)
I have great news to share! I have two books coming out in the next couple months:
» Saving Their Wayfaring Souls (3xtasy Lake 7) will be released on November 12th! This is the ever mysterious Lars' story. He and Cris (3xtc radio's DJ) find their mate. Lars has spent centuries as a hermit grieving his past and dreading his lonely future. Finding a best friend in Cris has helped mend his wayfaring soul but he longs to find the missing piece of his heart, the woman who would complete their trio. When Fate delivers her to them, will she stay?
» On December 14th, Steam Driven Seduction, the third instalment in my Steampunked Lust series, will be released. I've been looking forward to this book ever since the eccentric Kass stomped across the auction floor to snap at Liam and Tristan in the second book. Kassandra fled from Julien two years ago, but the time has come to face her fears. Miguel's passion still burns for Kassandra and Julien, and he hopes to build a future with them. Can the dominant trio set aside their natures to find a love that will span the skies and seas?
» My very good friend Bella Juarez's debut novel Rapid Dominance is available! Bella's Black-Ops Brotherhood are hot enough to melt you e-reader. Look for her next book, Hostile Home Front coming out in December.
» I had an inspiring time in Dallas this summer when I attended the Bookstrand convention. It was so much fun meeting everyone there! This year I'll be attending the Romantic Times Convention in Kansas City! I look forward to meeting as many people as I can there too. :)
» Many of you know the best way to find me is on Facebook, but I have found another book site that's been a lot of fun. Interact with readers and writers about every book you have ever loved at Inner Goddess. (This site does have adult content, 18 or older please.)
I've been keeping busy this summer. It's been super hot and gorgeous up here. :) I have to admit, more than a few days I missed writing because the sun was calling my name.
I have a few exciting things going on this month.
» Embraced by Fur is on sale for .99 cents and all the other books in the 3xtasy Lake series are discounted as well. This is only for a short time, so plan your trip to Ecstasy Lake before August 21st!
» Also, I'm going to be in Dallas for The Romance Convention. There is a book signing on the 18th from 2-4pm. It's open to the general public and I'd love to see you there!
» I'm working on Lars and Cris book next. This has been a challenge because they are both very private beings. They have no idea what is heading their way. ;)
» I'm also playing around with a new series but I'll have more news on that in a couple of months.
I have to much to share with you this month, I'm going to get right to it. :)
» I'm making my first book signing appearance at The Romance Convention in Dallas, TX, on August 17th and 18th, 2012. I'm so excited to be a part of this. There are going to be lots of authors attending and it's open to writers and readers of all genres. The early bird tickets are sold at an amazing price but that's only until the end of this month! You can follow The Rom Con on Twitter or click the banner above for more information.
» Beginning on Sunday, June 3rd, I'm joining eight other authors and taking part in the Best Summer Reading Blog Tour. We are going to have lots of fun and information about ourselves and our books. Also, every week one of the authors will donate a prize to be won! See the contest page for more details.
» Protect and Fur, the fifth book in my 3xtasy Lake series, is going to be released on July 9th! This is all about Brenna Roberts and the two men, Aiden O'Reilly and Craig Walker, who are going to have to work to earn her love.
» I'm working double time on the sixth book in this series, Surrounded By Fur, and hope to get that to you before the end of the summer.
» Obsessed with Fur (3xtasy Lake 4) is going to be released on April 23rd! My heroes are Marcario and Jelani Bennett. They are Mai's brothers and you might remember them from Caress of Fur. I loved revisiting Mai, Gaspar and Vencel, along with all the other unique characters, both new and old, that inhabit in Ecstasy Lake. This small town in Northern Ontario continues to grow in my heart with every book.
» I've been keeping up with my Six Sentence Sunday posts on my blog. It's a weekly peek into the books I'm working on. I love hearing from everyone and cherish the comments that everyone leave.
» Currently, I'm working on Protect and Fur (3xtasy Lake 5) and Steam Driven Seduction (Steampunked Lust 3). There is so much to tell you but I'll have to keep a few secrets for now. :)
» Caress Of Fur's release date has been moved up! It will be released on March 7th, but is available for preorder now. This is the first book in a series about a small town just outside Algonquin Park. I had so much fun writing this one and I can't wait to introduce you to the rest of the town's residents.
» Also starting on March 7th, I am involved with 13 other authors in a St. Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt. This is going to be lot of fun and there are lots of prizes to be won! Be certain to pop over to my contest page for the details! My prize is a one of a kind pendant made by Shameless Fashion. Robin made this specifically for this contest and it's so gorgeous! I love her work. If you like steampunk fashions as well you have to check out her stuff.
» I hope that everyone is having a great start to their new year. Mine's been really busy so far and I have lots to share with you. Both Haunted Hearts and Steam Powered Passion are available in print form.
» I have a new book coming out late Spring called Caress of Fur. Of all the paranormal creatures out there, shapeshifters have always been my favourite. (Anyone else think Belle should have picked Jacob? LOL) There is a small lake in the south west corner of Algonquin Park called Wolf Lake and this is where the pack lives. Caress of Fur is the first story in a series about the Algonquin Pack.
» I'm crawling back into my writing cave for a while again. Steamed Up Memories is almost finished and I can't wait to tell you more about it.
» Good news! My cover for Steam Powered Passion has arrived and I have the amazing Jinger Heaston to thank. It's perfect! As soon as I have an excerpt and release date for you I'll pass it on.
» Things have been a bit quiet on the home front, but they're staring to heart up! Haunted Hearts is being released on November 2, and the cover Jinger created for me makes me smile everytime I look at it.
» It looks like Steam Powered Passion will be available in early December. *fingers crossed* Check back soon for more information on my first "steampunked" novel.
» I received some awesome news: Siren has contracted Steam Powered Passion! Writing this story was so much fun. I have long been a fan of all things steampunk. I can't wait to introduce you to Tori, Sean and Malcolm. Watch for excerpts in the near future.
» Congratulations to Cheryl Haut! She's my winner for the Looking Forward to Summer contest. Your prize is in the mail, Cheryl.
» We all had so much fun with the contest in October that we decided to do it again. Check out my contest page to see how you can join in on the fun.
I have a few exciting things to share with you this month:
» I guest blogged over at Vivacious Vixens of Romance. Pop on over and have a read. Have you ever heard about the lone phone booth in the middle of the Mojave? Mr D passed the story on to me and I found it fascinating.
» Haunted Hearts has finally been submitted, fingers crossed everyone.
» Steam-Powered Passion is a finalist in the Stroke of Midnight contest through Passionate Ink. How cool is that?
» They say time flies when your having fun. It flies when your brain is buried in a book as well. ;) In this case, it's two books. I'm finishing up a ghost story and hope to have that submitted in the next week or two. After that, I plan to have my steampunk story finished and submitted in May. I guess the next couple months will be speeding along.
» Great news! Believing Is Seeing is available in print! You can get your very own copy through either Amazon.com or Amazon.ca and Barnes&Noble. I'm hoping to arrange a couple book signings. More to come on that later.
» The holidays came early for me this month! Believing Is Trusting will be released on December 4th. This story was a lot of fun to write because I work in the wine industry. Bach's last name is based on a grape variety used to make wine in Greece.
» Congratulations to Kimmy Lane! She's my winner for the Halloween Hide and Seek contest that wrapped up on the 31st. I have to do that one again next year, we had a lot of fun with it.
» This is going to be a busy month for me. Mainly because NaNoWriMo started on the 1st. This is a big writing challenge I've enjoyed for the last 4 years. In fact, Believing Is Seeing was my very first NaNo project in '05. While I like to think that I can write a more polished first draft now, November is all about crazy, organic, free-form writing. There aren't many rules aside from 50,000 words in 30 days. I don't have to watch my was or were, and I can use as many fragments as I like. My internal editor gets locked up tight and I shine a light in all the tidbits stuck in the corners of my subconscious. Trust me, I have some strange, multi-coloured blobs of information stuck in there.
» I have big news for you. Be sure to check out the contest page. I'm involved in a Halloween Hide and Seek Contest with eleven other authors. This promises to be lots of fun with some great prizes to be won!
» I can't believe how time has flown the past few weeks! I've been floating a few inches off the ground ever since Believing Is Seeing released. My first contest draw is almost here. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter and be automatically entered in all my draws.
» I was interviewed in Mechele Armstrong's newsletter to celebrate BIS's release. Isn't she sweet!
» Believing Is Seeing has a cover! I'm so excited. It's designed by Jinger Heaston and she did a beautiful job. I don't want to say too much, but what looks like Northern Lights have a special meaning in the book. You'll have to wait to find out why. Believing Is Seeing will be out on August 21st.
» I've set up a Yahoo group for a monthly newsletter and contest news. First drawing will be on September 21st.
» First off and most importantly, Believing Is Seeing has a home! I've been contracted through Siren Publishing. I've been over the moon excited since I got the call. It'll be out early fall, when I have an exact date I'll post it here. I can't believe how time has flown in the last year. I'm learning so much about the business end of writing. My second book, Poseidon's Tear, is almost finished and will be submitted by mid-month.
» After many, many, cups of coffee and a bit too much chocolate, I've finally finished my first book Believing is Seeing. It was a finalist in Passionate Ink's Stroke of Midnight contest and finished with a Honorable Mention. I couldn't be more excited. It's been submitted for consideration. Please join me in crossing every available finger and toe. I'll be crossing my eyes too.
» I'm continuing to work on Celtic Treasures and the sequel to Believing is Seeing (featuring Bacchus).
