March 2011
» Caress Of Fur's release date has been moved up! It will be released on March 7th, but is available for preorder now. This is the first book in a series about a small town just outside Algonquin Park. I had so much fun writing this one and I can't wait to introduce you to the rest of the town's residents. » Also starting on March 7th, I am involved with 13 other authors in a St. Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt. This is going to be lot of fun and there are lots of prizes to be won! Be certain to pop over to my contest page for the details! My prize is a one of a kind pendant made by Shameless Fashion. Robin made this specifically for this contest and it's so gorgeous! I love her work. If you like steampunk fashions as well you have to check out her stuff. (Click the image for a closer look.) January 2011 » I hope that everyone is having a great start to their new year. Mine's been really busy so far and I have lots to share with you. Both Haunted Hearts and Steam Powered Passion are available in print form. » I have a new book coming out late Spring called Caress of Fur. Of all the paranormal creatures out there, shapeshifters have always been my favourite. (Anyone else think Belle should have picked Jacob? LOL) There is a small lake in the south west corner of Algonquin Park called Wolf Lake and this is where the pack lives. Caress of Fur is the first story in a series about the Algonquin Pack. » I'm crawling back into my writing cave for a while again. Steamed Up Memories is almost finished and I can't wait to tell you more about it. November 2010 » Good news! My cover for Steam Powered Passion has arrived and I have the amazing Jinger Heaston to thank. It's perfect! As soon as I have an excerpt and release date for you I'll pass it on. October 2010 » Things have been a bit quiet on the home front, but they're staring to heart up! Haunted Hearts is being released on November 2, and the cover Jinger created for me makes me smile everytime I look at it. » It looks like Steam Powered Passion will be available in early December. *fingers crossed* Check back soon for more information on my first "steampunked" novel. July 2010 » I received some awesome news: Siren has contracted Steam Powered Passion! Writing this story was so much fun. I have long been a fan of all things steampunk. I can't wait to introduce you to Tori, Sean and Malcolm. Watch for excerpts in the near future. » Congratulations to Cheryl Haut! She's my winner for the Looking Forward to Summer contest. Your prize is in the mail, Cheryl. June 2010 » Great news! Haunted Hearts has been contracted by Siren Publishing. I had a lot of fun writing Mac and Gwen's story. Blurb and excerpt to come in the near future, watch my blog. » We all had so much fun with the contest in October that we decided to do it again. Check out my contest page to see how you can join in on the fun. April 2010 I have a few exciting things to share with you this month: » Believing is Trusting is out in paperback! Check your local Amazon or Barnes&Noble. » I guest blogged over at Vivacious Vixens of Romance. Pop on over and have a read. Have you ever heard about the lone phone booth in the middle of the Mojave? Mr D passed the story on to me and I found it fascinating. » Haunted Hearts has finally been submitted, fingers crossed everyone. » Steam-Powered Passion is a finalist in the Stroke of Midnight contest through Passionate Ink. How cool is that? March 2010 » They say time flies when your having fun. It flies when your brain is buried in a book as well. ;) In this case, it's two books. I'm finishing up a ghost story and hope to have that submitted in the next week or two. After that, I plan to have my steampunk story finished and submitted in May. I guess the next couple months will be speeding along. » Great news! Believing Is Seeing is available in print! You can get your very own copy through either Amazon.com or Amazon.ca and Barnes&Noble. I'm hoping to arrange a couple book signings. More to come on that later. December 2009 » The holidays came early for me this month! Believing Is Trusting will be released on December 4th. This story was a lot of fun to write because I work in the wine industry. Bach's last name is based on a grape variety used to make wine in Greece. November 2009 » Congratulations to Kimmy Lane! She's my winner for the Halloween Hide and Seek contest that wrapped up on the 31st. I have to do that one again next year, we had a lot of fun with it. » This is going to be a busy month for me. Mainly because NaNoWriMo started on the 1st. This is a big writing challenge I've enjoyed for the last 4 years. In fact, Believing Is Seeing was my very first NaNo project in '05. While I like to think that I can write a more polished first draft now, November is all about crazy, organic, free-form writing. There aren't many rules aside from 50,000 words in 30 days. I don't have to watch my was or were, and I can use as many fragments as I like. My internal editor gets locked up tight and I shine a light in all the tidbits stuck in the corners of my subconscious. Trust me, I have some strange, multi-coloured blobs of information stuck in there. October 2009 » I have big news for you. Be sure to check out the contest page. I'm involved in a Halloween Hide and Seek Contest with eleven other authors. This promises to be lots of fun with some great prizes to be won! » Believing Is Seeing was awarded 5 cherries from Holly at Whipped Cream Reviews! I was so excited, it was like release day all over again! September 2009 » I can't believe how time has flown the past few weeks! I've been floating a few inches off the ground ever since Believing Is Seeing released. My first contest draw is almost here. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter and be automatically entered in all my draws. » I was interviewed in Mechele Armstrong's newsletter to celebrate BIS's release. Isn't she sweet! August 2009 » Believing Is Seeing has a cover! I'm so excited. It's designed by Jinger Heaston and she did a beautiful job. I don't want to say too much, but what looks like Northern Lights have a special meaning in the book. You'll have to wait to find out why. Believing Is Seeing will be out on August 21st. » I've set up a Yahoo group for a monthly newsletter and contest news. First drawing will be on September 21st. July 2009 » First off and most importantly, Believing Is Seeing has a home! I've been contracted through Siren Publishing. I've been over the moon excited since I got the call. It'll be out early fall, when I have an exact date I'll post it here. I can't believe how time has flown in the last year. I'm learning so much about the business end of writing. My second book, Poseidon's Tear, is almost finished and will be submitted by mid-month. ![]() September 2008 » After many, many, cups of coffee and a bit too much chocolate, I've finally finished my first book Believing is Seeing. It was a finalist in Passionate Ink's Stroke of Midnight contest and finished with a Honorable Mention. I couldn't be more excited. It's been submitted for consideration. Please join me in crossing every available finger and toe. I'll be crossing my eyes too. » I'm continuing to work on Celtic Treasures and the sequel to Believing is Seeing (featuring Bacchus).
